Suzhou Haige Electric Control Co., Ltd. established a municipal-level hybrid vehicle control system engineering research center in October 2013 and a provincial-level engineering technology center in 2014.
Research directions:Electric vehicle Vehicle Control Unit, Intelligent integrated auxiliary controllers, other electric control system electric accessories, high integration of electric control systems, in-depth optimization of control strategies and strategy simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, hardware development, system integration test benches, and other R&D platform construction.
Research objectives:To build a first-class general-purpose innovation and R&D platform for vehicle control systems; to achieve breakthroughs in key technologies for electric control systems in new energy vehicles; to cultivate a group of high-quality, high-level professional and technical personnel and process technology personnel; to acquire key technologies and independent intellectual property rights, provide important technical support for economic development, and enhance the province's continuous innovation capabilities in this field.
The center currently has 40 person, all of whom hold bachelor's degrees or higher. As the R&D institution of its parent company, Suzhou Haige Electric Control Co., Ltd., the center is responsible for the research and development of new products, technologies, and processes, as well as the application and promotion of new products, providing new impetus and economic growth points for the company's development and growth.
The center currently holds 9 valid invention patents, 18 utility model patents, 4 software copyrights, 2 registered enterprise standards, and has published 5 papers; Through independent R&D and participation in provincial and municipal-level science and technology projects, the center has collaborated with universities such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhejiang University on industry-academia-research contracts. It has successfully developed various technical routes for hybrid vehicle control systems and multiple core components, including: series-parallel hybrid (ISG) systems, hub motor vehicle control systems, parallel hybrid systems, series hybrid systems, and four-mode hybrid systems; The products have rapidly covered the power systems of hybrid and plug-in hybrid buses ranging from 6 meters to 12 meters in length; they also cover niche markets in commercial vehicles such as urban public transportation, logistics, light commercial vehicles, coaches, and group transportation vehicles.
The key technologies developed by the Technical Center won the Second Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Invention Award in 2015, the Second Prize of the Suzhou Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Second Prize of the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award in 2016.
In recent years, the Technical Center has continuously invested in laboratory construction and pilot production line construction, establishing a strategy simulation platform for new energy vehicle (hybrid) powertrain controllers; a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing system for new energy vehicle (hybrid) powertrain controllers; an integrated test bench for electric control systems of new energy vehicles (hybrid); and the capability to conduct product reliability tests, such as salt spray and high/low-temperature tests. The center has introduced an automated pilot production line for vehicle controllers and a semi-automated pilot production line for high-voltage cabinets, laying the groundwork for production automation and significantly enhancing production capacity.
